Adams Peak - Sripadaya
Sripadaya means the foot print of Lord Buddha and it is at "Samanala" mountain in hill country. This foot print was placed in Lord Buddhas 3rd arrival to the Sri Lanka.
This is a view of Samanala mountain and the building on top, covering the foot print is visible too.
The famous lamp called "Dolosmahe pahana" which is lit during all 12 months of a year is near the foot print
Four rivers named "Mahaweli" "Kelani" "Kalu" "Walawe" start from the top of Samanala mountain.
